Dear CSI Members,

Under Byelaw 5.11 of the Computer Society of India, the Nominations Committee (NC) is required to invite appropriate groups of Members to submit names of Voting Members for Considering them for the various elective office MC and Nominations Committee.

Members are accordingly invited to submit the names of candidates who are valid voting members for the following elective offices:

For the Term 2013-2014/15 (April 1^st, 2013 – March 31^st 2014)

Vice-President(2013-14)

Nominations Committee Members ( 3 Members)(2013-14).

Hon. Treasurer (2013-15)

Managing Committee Members ( 8 Members)(2013-14).

The proposal for Nomination should be accompanied by:

1. Signed letter/Email from at least 2 valid voting members proposing the nominee.

2. A signed letter/email from Nominee confirming:

a. Acceptance to stand for election to the nominated office.

b. Willingness to devote adequate time for the Society’s work.

c. Commitment to attend at least 3 Meetings in a Year (Not for Nominees to NC)

3. Passport size photograph (printed or digital).

4. Statement of intent on how the nominee intends to serve the computer society of India.

5. Bio-data in the following suggested format:

o Name

o CSI Membership Number

o CSI Member since

o E-mail address

o Date of Birth (Age)

o Postal address

o Phone/Mobile/Fax No’s

o Educational Qualification

o Contribution to CSI

o Experience

o Other Relevant Information in support of your candidature.

o If you have been a member of the Chapter MC in the last 3 years, kindly provide the following details for each year in the MC.

o Position Held and Year.

o Number of MC meetings attended out of Total MC Meetings in that year.

o Statement of Intent for that year.

o Actual Achievements during that year.

Note-1: If the name of any Nominee appears for more than one Office, Managing Committee, the Nominations Committee will be empowered to decide on the office for which he/she should contest. The NC will take into consideration any email or signed written preferences submitted by the nominee received prior to the last date of nominations.

Note-2: Nominees will NOT be considered in the following cases:

1. Nominees with pending dues to CSI or

2. Where Disciplinary action has been taken or

3. Nominees with pending issues with the Disciplinary Committee.

The last date for receipt of proposal is November 14th,2012.

Slate to be published on CSI homepage & in CSI Communications (Dec.2012 issue) 10.12.2012

Last date for receipt of Ballots 16.01.2013

We would urge all members to register/update their latest e-mail ids with the CSI Bangalore Chapter. This will allow the members to derive full benefits from internet balloting and to take CSIBC to a leadership position in showcasing the use of IT for Elections.
